Today in class we reviewed for and took a quiz.

Mardi 27/11

Today in class we talked about what you want to be (profession) later in life (Qu’est-ce que tu veux être plus tard?) and discussed pg 37 #7 as a class.  I introduced the Impératif as well.  We played Loto at the end of class.

Devoirs:  Study for Quiz on Thursday! (Identity, verb list, ER/IR/RE verbs, avoir/être, professions, family, avoir expressions) 5 visual dictionary entries (choose some things you need to work on before the quiz!)

Lundi 26/11

Today in class we discussed the foods we like to eat for Thanksgiving and what we like to do during vacation.  We reviewed how to talk about professions.

Devoirs:  Study for Quiz on Thursday! (identity, verb list, ER/IR/RE verbs, avoir/être, professions, family, avoir expressions)  In English, come up with 2 pieces of advice you would give your friend who is failing French and 2 commands/orders that your parents give you.

Jeudi 15/11

Today in class we got new seats, talked about what different professions our family members are in, shared our family tree with a partner (saying who each person is, their name, age and profession), and played bingo with the ER verbs from the verb list.

Devoirs:  crossword (both sides), 10 new entries to visual dictionary (using any vocabulary that you need to work on: verb list, professions, family, avoir expressions, etc.), and practice for 5 adults (not the same person each time!) for 10 minutes each and get 5 signatures on the back of your calendar.  You have lots of things you can share, like your family tree, verb songs, your identity information, etc…

There will be a big QUIZ after break over: identity, verb list, ER/IR/RE verbs, avoir/être, professions, family, avoir expressions

Mardi 13/11

Today in class we reviewed verbs by singing songs.  We practiced talking about what animals we have and reviewed how to say if we don’t have ANY (je n’ai pas DE chiens).  We learned how to talk about what professions people have by using il/elle est, ils/elles sont, c’est, and ce sont.  As well as how to make feminine and plural agreements of professions.

Jeudi 08/11

Today in class we talked about where our parents work and what they do, we corrected quizzes, and did a survey about how many brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles people have.

Travail en classe (TEC):  Visual Dictionary:  choose 4 verbs from verb list you got on Tuesday that you do not know, for each entry you must have the verb, a picture illustrating the meaning, and a sentence using the verb.  NO ENGLISH!  Click here for an example!
