Lundi 10/06


Today in class we reviewed for the final.

A Faire:  5th page (says pg 46 on the bottom) of review packet (all 3 activities!)

Devoirs: last page of review packet (reading activity), complete "mon livre de grammaire" (in order to use a notecard on the final), be prepared for oral presentations, work on review packet

Review packet (stamp for every page you complete!), and calendar will be due the day of the final!

Final Extra Credit Opportunity


Crédit Supplémentaire:  Les Historiens de l’Art

You can complete an independent art project in order to showcase some of what you have learned about French art history and further investigate an aspect that interests you.  It must be strongly connected to French history/culture/art and you must clearly articulate that connection.  All written elements must be typed.

You may choose one of the following:
1. Reproduce a work of art from a period/artist (must include ½-1 pg explanation/reflection typed)
2. Create a work of art in the style of a period/artist (must include ½-1 pg explanation/reflection typed)
3. Research the life and work of an artist (2 pgs typed)
4. Write a critical analysis of a work of art or comparing 2 works of art, looking at construction, motifs, symbolism, significance, meanings, etc..  (2 pages typed)
(MUST be a French speaking/connected artist/artwork/movement)

Due: By Thursday 6/13 (Day of the final exam!)

Jeudi 06/06


Today in class we listened to our new song “La Belle et Le Badboy”, did a speaking and a listening activity using the passé compose, learned about 4 more art periods (Cubism, Dada, Surrealism, Art Deco), and practiced projects in partners.  For complete Art History PowerPoint, clique ici!

Devoirs: Front & back of 1st 2 pages of review packet, be ready for oral interviews, complete “livre de grammaire” for Tuesday if you want to use a note card on the final.

Mardi 04/06

Today in class we practiced projects in preparation for oral interviews, listened to senior finals, learned about using “aller” in the passé compose, and the rules around using the passé compose with the helper verb: être.

A Faire:  pg 119 #6
Devoirs: Be ready for oral interviews !!!  Pg 120 #7 (1 sentence saying where each subject in “qui?” column WENT and 1 sentence saying what they DID there-be logical!)  Attention: pay close attention to helper verbs!!

Today in class we reviewed how to ask questions and applied it to the passé composé.

A Faire:  pg 109 #10 (write question-vous form and answer-nous form)


Devoirs: Memorize project, practice questions, prepare for oral interviews! Interviews start Thursday!

LAST DAY FOR MISSING WORK IS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5!  NO EXCEPTIONS!
